Apply Beginning April 17!
1. Visit nyc.gov/SummerRising
● Click the link to the application portal. At the top right of the portal, you will see
the option to translate the application.
● If you need support accessing the internet, contact your school’s Parent
Coordinator.
2. Enter your information
● Make sure to enter your student’s 9-digit student ID number. You can find this
number on your student’s report card or by contacting your student’s school.
● If you do not have an email address, contact your school’s Parent Coordinator.
3. Enter your Summer Rising program preferences
● Rank as many programs as possible. The more programs you list, the more likely
you are to receive a placement of your choice.
● This year's process is not first-come, first-served. You can apply at any point
during the application window (April 17-May 1).
After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirming your
student's Summer Rising program preferences. Approximately a week after the
application window closes, you will receive another email with your student's
official enrollment and program placement, pending seat availability.
